EasyMoka belongs to a family of international products identified during the unique travel adventures of owners, Nicola and Jason. The couple has traveled extensively during their professional careers in international development. While experiencing each country's unique culture, Nicola and Jason are constantly looking for products that might fill a unique niche back in the United States. Products are typically chosen based on their unique utility and design.
EasyMoka's "DosaCaffe" by Meliconi was added to the product family after a recent trip to Venice, Italy. Nicola had long ago introduced Jason to the Italian tradition of moka coffee brewing. During this visit to Nicola's hometown, Jason asked Nicola's mother precisely how she brewed coffee in her moka. The process placed heavy emphasis on limiting the exposure of the coffee grinds to air and consistently adding the same amount of coffee grinds each to each pot to maximize and standardize the flavor. As Nicola's mother wiped away the mess that always accompanies spoon-loading a moka, her daughter introduced Nicola and Jason to the DosaCaffe by Meliconi that she uses to address her mother's concerns around freshness and measurement - all while eliminating the spoon-based mess. Jason and Nicola knew the Italian moka pot was increasing in popularity back in the United States with a loyal fan-base, but this is the first moka accessory introduced to help improve flavor, standardize the amount of coffee grounds, and reduce the needed clean-up.
